My name is Heather Stewart (PhD, LCSW) and I am a 2004 graduate of ICSW. I'm working at The Family Institute at Northwestern University providing psychodynamic psychotherapy to adults (18+) virtually. I accept BCBS PPO and self-pay. I have over 30 years of experience as a therapist and have worked in community mental health, private practice, and a healthcare university counseling center. My areas of interest include family of origin and relationship issues, anxiety, depression, insight-oriented work, and cultural struggles. I have a great interest in the various Latino cultures and my dissertation was on the developmental importance of the cotillion for Latina girls. I also worked for 9 years with students undergoing their healthcare training (e.g., medical, dental, PT/PA, optometry, etc.). You can find my bio here and contact me directly at hstewart@family-institute.org.

A Message From the President
I have been honored to serve as president of ICSW for almost one year. During this time, I have gotten to know many of the ICSW alumni. I remain impressed by your many contributions to mental health services as psychotherapists, researchers, policy makers and scholars. Through your dedicated work, mental health services have truly been positively impacted and enhanced.
As alumni, you exemplify the legacy of excellence and innovation that remains as strong today as when a group of innovators came together to establish ICSW over forty-two years ago. These are exciting times as we transition and welcome new leadership with the appointment of Dr. Milka Rameriz as the next president of the Institute. Dr. Rameriz takes office on June 1 and will be present at the June 1 Benefit. We are expanding our recruitment and enrollment efforts and exploring developing new mission focused degree programs. With the support of a community partner, we are finalizing plans to initiate a fully funded tuition and stipend for a doctoral fellowship.
As alumni you are important to ICSW. You can help in many ways such as the recruitment of students, attend the many innovative continuing education opportunities and help financially support student scholarships.
With my Thanks for all you do ,
Allan
