Classic psychoanalytic writers, i.e., Bettelheim, Alvarez, and Tustin, leave modern practitioners, allistic and Autistic, with significant theoretical and practical questions about how to best work with Autistic clients. Ableism and limited neurodiversity positive trainings may contribute to this uncertainty. For this event, two Autistic professionals who have worked extensively with Autistic children, youth, and adults welcome the opportunity to provide education about best practices and about their own experiences. It is the hope that this evening will prove illuminating and will continue the conversation to improve services for Autistic clients.
