As the Interim Associate Director of Academic Affairs, Esther serves as the primary advisor and support to MA students, and directs all students to resources, policies, and procedures that promote the learning experience and student retention. She also works with faculty and administration to address and respond to student concerns and needs, and to review and revise master's and doctoral program policies and procedures. Additionally, as part of the academic team, Esther provides training and support for faculty that support their work with students.

Prior to joining ICSW, Esther was the Assistant Director of Academic Advising at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she hired and supervised faculty advisors, managed the academic standing process for all students, served on the academic review board, and provided case management support to students with high-level academic, physical health, and/or mental health concerns.

Esther received her Bachelor of Arts degree at Haverford College with a major in sociology and a concentration in Africana Studies, and then a Master of Education in Higher Education degree from Loyola University Chicago.
