Michelle Piotrowski, PhD - Practicum Chair has practiced in inpatient, community, and school settings. Dr. Piotrowski’s current role as Lead Social Worker in a public school system embeds a psychodynamic perspective in individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, staff training, and protocol development. Maximizing the intersection of research and social justice advocacy to impact policy and practice is a hallmark of her work. She is enthusiastic about research advising and clinical consultation. Dr. Piotrowski is most passionate about bringing psychodynamic thinking and therapy into the work of social workers in various settings, including agencies and schools.
