Lynn McIntyre, PhD, L.C.S.W. maintains a private practice in Chicago and in Lake Bluff, Illinois. Lynn draws from her experience as a contractual provider for DCFS where she provided assessments and treatment for abused and neglected children and their caretakers and for the Federal Defenders Program where she provided assessments for incarcerated individuals.
Lynn’s 30 years’ experience as a therapist/school social worker for the Special Education District of Lake County involved the assessment and treatment of children with a range of issues, some of which are: learning disabilities, behavioral and emotional issues and developmental delays. In this setting, she worked with parents, consulted with teachers and provided in-service training to the social work staff.
As the Coordinator of Cathedral Counseling Center ’s Fellowship program for 18 years, Lynn provided training to post master therapists. She currently provides therapy to individual adults and couples. Lynn has taught at Loyola University (Couples Therapy and the Assessment and Treatment of Children) and ICSW (Clinical Processes and Techniques).
