Kevin McMahon, MSW - Conceptual Foundations Sequence Chair

Kevin McMahon, MSW teaches development courses in the PhD and Master’s degree programs focusing on both phase of life issues and the broader experience of emotional development and change across the course of life. Kevin is also a clinical consultant in both programs. Beyond his work at ICSW, Kevin maintains a private psychotherapy practice, working with children, adolescents and adults. He is also on staff in the adult and child and adolescent psychotherapy clinics at the Institute for Psychoanalysis. His areas of clinical expertise include understanding child and adolescent moods and behaviors as well as working adults struggling with anxiety, depression and school/work/relationship difficulties. Kevin values his work at ICSW because he experiences a reciprocal intersection amidst teaching and learning that facilitates growth in all parties involved.
