Dr. Joan Berzoff, MSW,Ed.D

Dr. Joan Berzoff, EdD is Professor Emerita from the Smith College School for Social Work where she co-directed the Doctoral Program, chaired Human Behavior in the Social Environment and directed the End of Life Certificate Program over her thirty seven year career there.

The author of 4 books, one about to go into the 5th edition, and has published over 40 papers, given hundreds of presentations, nationally and internationally, and has been the recipient of the Outstanding Scholar Award from the National Academies of Practice, A Bogliasco Fellowship in Italy, The Writing Award from the American Association of Psychoanalytic Clinical Social Workers, the Outstanding Teacher Award from NASW, and the Charis Award from Smith College. She is in private practice in Northampton, Mass.
