ICSW Student Emergency Relief Fund
CARES ACT
In April 2020, Congress passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, which allocated funding to institutions to provide financial support to students experiencing a financial disruption through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF). The Institute for Clinical Social Work signed and submitted the U.S. Department of Education Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CARES Act on April 14, 2020. The U.S. Department of Education provided the Institute for Clinical Social Work a Grant Award Notification on April 27, 2020. An additional award was made on January 19, 2021.
The Institute for Clinical Social Work received $15,714 for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.
How will funds be disbursed?
The Office of Student Financial Services will distribute awards to eligible students on a first-come basis with a maximum award amount of $500. The Institute for Clinical Social Work has distributed $15,714 as of 2/10/2021. This amount was determined by ensuring students received a significant amount to assist with financial burdens caused by Covid-19 and keeping the maximum amount low enough to cover as many students as possible.
What are the eligibility requirements?
The Institute for Clinical Social Work offered funds to all Title IV eligible students. Students were required to submit requests by application and will be awarded on a first come first serve basis until funds are exhausted.
What is Title IV eligibility?
