Founded in 1981, for over forty years, we have remained committed to our mission of preparing students in the tradition of psychodynamic graduate studies. The Institute for Clinical Social Work is the only independent graduate school in the country offering advanced training in psychodynamic graduate studies.

An alarming, nationwide increase in reported mental health problems has impacted all aspects of society including the economy, homelessness, poverty, under and unemployment, and safety. The 2022 Annual Appeal highlights the need for additional mental health care providers and services. This year’s annual appeal also highlights our most recent student scholarship recipients. Now more than ever, the Institute for Clinical Social Work remains committed to preparing quality therapists and to its values of compassionate practice, social justice, diversity and inclusion.
