The Institute for Clinical Social Work (ICSW) is pleased to announce that

Megan Reedy

is the 2023-2024 Elisabeth Jacobs Scholar.

Megan Reedy is a Psychotherapist and Third Year PhD Student from the suburbs of Detroit, MI. and brings a modern, accessible approach to psychoanalysis for adults, couples, teens, and children in her practice. Megan’s doctoral research focus is on the identity of vulnerable young mothers under the age of 25 and accessibility to education for educational and economic resiliency. According to the CDC, less than 2% of teen moms graduate college before age 30. Megan is entering the last year of the PhD before age 30 as a mom of 4. For the last 8 years, she have worked in the mental health field, facilitating advocacy for other young mothers and using her education to do so. Megan looks forward to completing her PhD and continuing to create a space for mothers to find meaning in their education to build stability.
