1981: Articles of Incorporation created for the Institute for Clinical Social Work

1983:

Approved by the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE) as the only independent PhD program in Clinical Social Work

 

1990:

First commencement held

2006:

Approved to participate in the Federal Student Financial Aid Programs

2007:

IBHE grants approval to offer the PhD in clinical social work online

 

2012:

IBHE grants approval for the MA program in clinical counseling and psychotherapy

2014:

Joseph Palombo Center for Neuroscience and Psychoanalytic Social Work established

Launch of the online MA program in clinical counseling and psychotherapy
